This program is a 6 day a week training program with one rest day a week, but more rest days can be added between workouts if needed. It is a high frequency approach to bodybuilding with a focus on strength for the squat bench, and deadlift. However, this does not mean that you won’t build muscle from the squat, bench, and deadlift. The approach of “powerbuilding” is a combination of powerlifting and bodybuilding, with the goal being both strength and muscle gain. For those trying to also lose weight, your calorie intake is what will determine whether you gain, lose, or maintain weight throughout the program. This means that tracking calories will play the biggest role throughout this program. If strength and size is your biggest goal here, then a calorie surplus would be most recommended. Although, if your goal is weight loss or body recomposition this can be done by eating maintenance calories or a slight deficit. With the workload, amount of volume, and intensity, 7-9 hours of sleep is recommended. Obviously, as far as sleep goes it is individual dependent. External factors will influence your sleep as well, such as work, school, and a job. Lastly, and most importantly, the majority of the program is RPE and percentage based.
